Dr. Adhikary

Dr. Nirmala Mani Adhikary is a prominent communication theorist from Nepal, who is known for the Sadharanikaran Model of Communication, the theory of Sancharyoga, and Mimamsa philosophical theorization of communication. He is author/editor of as many as 50 published books: including “Theory and Practice of Communication – Bharata Muni” and “Sanchar Siddhantikaran” (that is, Theorizing communication). Dozens of research articles and hundreds of popular articles written by him are published in different languages across the world.

Currently, Dr. Adhikary is Associate Professor at the Department of Languages and Mass Communication, Kathmandu University School of Arts. He is the senior-most faculty of Media Studies in Kathmandu University, Nepal. He is recipient of many fellowships including the Bharata Muni Chair Research Fellowship of MC National University of Journalism and Communication, Bhopal, India.
